Today I plan to help with the filming of an advert for the smile campaign 

Today I have helped with recommending different shots and angles as well as story ideas for the advert whilst filming, many scenes have been filmed however there is still a few more scenes to film. this shows my ability to direct and work in a team as well as give creative input to better help others with their skills when it comes to directing and producing

Today I will help Kieron with filming his advert by being in it as well as giving constructive ideas as to how to better improve his idea for the advert. this not only betters Kieron's advert but also improves my skills with filming as I can observe techniques being used and implement them into my own advert

Today I will continue to help Kieron to film his advert 

Today I helped Kieron film his advert for smile campaign achieving what I set to do today, next I will start to film my own advert for the smile campaign and use the skill and techniques such as cinematography knowledge and problem solving skills when required


14/1/22 

Today I will begin to film my own advert for the smile campaign 

Today I have begun to film some of my advert for smile campaign and began to film using the green screen room, however there was some problems with how the green screen would look during editing as well as the final advert and the layout of the room during filming could look inconsistent 

















to get around this I have decided to find and use an empty classroom to film my advert as it will look more professional and more consistent for the shots, also, another benefit of using the classroom instead of the green screen room is that I won't run into errors in post-production as editing with the green screen might lead to certain errors or maybe not even working at all, those in my advert will be Kieron, ben and Maddison, in order to have my advert filmed the way I want it I will communicate with the cast of my advert so the know what they are doing during each scene to make it look exactly how I wanted it. to film the advert I used a canon 700D dlsr camera with the iso on 1600, a tripod to steady the camera during some scenes. some of the shots I



used for the advert were some close ups, medium close ups, a wide shot and Dutch angle shot and a three shot, between each shot I explained to the cast of my advert what I was wanting from them and how I wanted to do it, and those who weren't in certain scenes I got them to do some other things to help with the production of my advert such as helping with the lighting or the scene's


environment and accepting some ideas for scenes from some of the cast and how they thought it could make it better, i made sure to adjust the focus and the lens zoom to capture the shots at the right angle and correct zoom for the appropriate close ups when necessary.














17/01/22 

Today I will continue to film my advert for smile campaign and again implementing the skills I've learned helping filming other peoples adverts and using them for my own to make it the best I can. like yesterday I will again be using a free and unused classroom for consistency and less inconvenience of fixing post production errors with the greenscreen room


19/01/22 

Today I will finish my filming for my advert for smile campaign and finish filming any shots I haven't yet done,

 Smile campaign advert I am pleased with the finished product and the camera work used when making it such as the different camera angles and techniques such as close ups, widescreen shot and a couple of dutch angle shots, I am also pleased with the editing of my advert and the techniques I used when editing such as the transitions and the captions and the music used for the advert as I think it matches with the theme of the advert as well as including the mind logo to show who the client was and the contact information as well as cutting down footage to make the advert less than a minute and making it suited to the target audience and the client.   first I imported the raw audio footage of my podcast, ready to be edited and changed I see necessary to make it as professional as possible i then selected the pointer tool to open the menu to view all the other tools for me to edit the audio for my podcast i then selected the scissors tool to cut out any pauses or any cuts in the audio with the scissors tool selected i can now cut out any pauses or any other sounds that i don't want in my podcast i then made sure to use the zoom tool to make sure i have the optimum accuracy to be able to make the cuts sound fluent and not jittery or have jump cuts with the bit cut separate from the other audio i selected and deleted it before dragging to two bits of audio together so that there isn't a gap in the audio leading to a pause in the podcast this is the two pieces of audio put together to get rid of the gap and pause in the audio once zoomed out this is what the finished edit looked like, with it finished i had to upload it for it...
