podcast resources
The resources will be using for the podcast are, Rode NT1A microphone, it is a large diaphragm condenser microphone with a cardoid polar pattern which is a common pattern on condenser microphones this is good to use as it is best to capture vocals and high frequencies, i have used a dynamic microphone to record before however a condenser microphone would be better because a dynamic microphone is better used to pick up loud sounds such as a drum or loud vocals whereas a condenser microphones are better for picking up vocals at a normal or quite frequencies which is more appropriate to record a podcast as its a conversation at a normal frequency rather than loud vocals. The microphones have been equipped with a cradle mount to stop unwanted vibrations that may interfere with the audio of the recording, the microphone will also have a pop shield to stop any plosives when speaking, any pop shields are suitable to stop plosives so there isn't any reason as the specify the kind of pop shield used in the making of the podcast, the cradle mount stops any vibrations whether its a cable rubbing off the mic or walking around, the cradle mount stops any vibrations from being picked up and ruining the recording. the pop shield stops any plosives which can help counteract any of the popping noises or any disruptive noises that could happen from when air passes through the microphone making the recording sound as professional as possible.
I used an audio interface in a studio to make my project as professional as possible, an audio interface converts the microphone signals into a format that my computer and software can understand, audio interfaces have built-in preamps so it improves the sound quality just like an amp or preamp would, the signal will get amplified as it goes through the audio interface, the result is better sound clarity, which is why it is better than using a microphone built into a phone, laptop or headphones, using the studio is more beneficial for better sound quality it takes time to set it up meaning its time that could be used recording.
Logic Pro is a standard DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) it is used to record and edit audio, logic can record the highest quality digital audio, logic pro is also rated the second rated DAW currently available, it is also useful as it has built in sound effects and music, while there are free alternatives there is no guarantee that it will work as well as logic pro or have the same audio quality and features
